The researchers of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies organize and conduct scientific conferences bringing together scientists from different countries. A number of conferences have a long tradition and have been held at the Institute every year for decades, such as the conference «Modern Problems of the Korean Peninsula», which in 2022 was held for the 26th  time. Following the results of the conferences, the organizers publish collections of articles written on the basis of the reports made at the conference.
