The Russian-Chinese Friendship Society (RCFS) is a public organization that has been supporting and developing the tools of public diplomacy for 65 years and promoting the achievements of Chinese culture and art to Russian audiences, supporting cultural and humanitarian exchanges between our two countries. RCFS works in close cooperation with the scientists of the Institute.

Despite different periods in relations between our countries, the Society maintained contacts and friendly relations with its friends and partners in China.

Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society is Ivan Ivanovich Melnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

The operational management of the Society’s work has been held for decades by Galina Veniaminovna Kulikova, First Deputy Chairman of the Society of Russian-Chinese Friendship, Honorary Doctor of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation.

A number of scholars of the ICCA RAS are activists and members of the Board of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society, take an active part in the work of the society and in organization of events.

In 2022 the events are dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society.
